Huda brings over 15 years of nursing experience, giving her a wide-ranging knowledge and an excellent track record in different areas of the healthcare provision. Huda carried out clinical nursing practice at an advanced level using expert clinical skills, critical judgements and knowledge to deliver appropriate and safe care. Huda holds BSc Adult Nursing, MSc ENP and Specialist Renal Studies training from UWE.
Huda worked diligently during the pandemic with highly excluded and underrepresented communities, her advocacy and support increased the uptake of Covid-19 vaccine.
Huda’s role as a vaccine coach affirmed that community-based, culturally competent interventions that tackle health inequalities at a grassroots level is critical to improving health disparities that exists in Bristol and beyond. Taking this approach will improve people's engagement with public health interventions such as cancer screening programmes, healthy living initiatives, long-term conditions self-management, the NHS Health Check, childhood immunisations and much more.
Huda now steers Caafi Health to become a service that delivers the changes that are needed to overcome health inequity across our diverse populations in Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire.

As a community champion, Asha has always had a strong commitment to empowering marginalised communities and ensuring their voices are heard, creating meaningful changes that build strong links between service providers and those affected by poor access to health care services. Asha’s belief that communities provide the best solution to the inequity they experience in health has driven and propelled her to establish Caafi Health.
Asha holds an MSc Social Work from Bristol University, her experience includes working as a social worker in hospital settings, sensory impairment, and in locality adult social care departments. Prior to this, Asha graduated from UWE with a PGCE in secondary education, a qualified teacher status where she acquired experience working in secondary and college settings. Asha also holds a BA Business Management degree from Westminster University.
Asha’s other experiences include working in management, bringing in vital experience and skills needed to establishing Caafi Health as a leading organisation in addressing health inequality through partnership and collaborative working with health and social care service providers.
Suad Aden is an experienced nurse who has worked in acute secondary care settings for the past 10 years. Suad holds BSc Adult Nursing and is currently studying MSc in Public Health at the University of the West of England. Suad’s ambitious to reduce health inequalities comes from a personal place.

When the pandemic struck, it cast a harsh light at the health inequalities that persist in the community that Suad comes from. Furthermore, the pandemic made it clear that there were disparities in access and outcomes for different groups within the NHS. Suad has been instrumental in her leadership in the Bristol Inner City Communities, supporting the BNSSG Mass Vaccination Programme.
Suad Advised the Vaccine programme team in the planning of pop-up clinics in the community and has worked in the clinics to support those having vaccine. Suad’s visions is to have an exceptional quality healthcare for all through equitable access, excellent experience and optimal outcomes.

Marta holds Master’s degree in Nursing and recently completed MSc in Advanced Practice. During the pandemic, Marta worked closely with Covid patients and gained a firsthand experience of health inequalities in local communities.
Marta comes from a Polish background and works extensively with supporting Polish communities in the South West of England with engaging and accessing healthcare services.

Nesrien provided a full scope of service including treatment, coordination of care, preventive care and electronic medical record maintenance, while following guidelines contained within the quality management, risk management, infection control, customer service and safety programmme.
Since moving to the UK recently, Nesrien has commenced her license to practice with the General Medical Council where she hopes to continue with her career as a medical doctor. Nesrien, champions health equity and uses her medical knowledge to support communities with overcoming health illiteracy.

Initiatives that improve health and reduce inequalities in health care are now Aaruni's favourite things to do. She finds great joy in participating in a wide variety of organisations and communities. She believes that including people from underserved communities in public health efforts is the most effective way to reduce health inequity.
